PETITION: Support the NDP’s call for a $15 Minimum Wage
There are currently 130,000 people in Nova Scotia working for less than $15 per hour. It was recently increased by 10 cents to $10.70/hour–still far too little to offer individuals and families an alternative to poverty. The NDP’s proposal for a $15 minimum wage would bring our province into alignment with other jurisdictions that have adopted this policy, such as Alberta, California and New York.
Workers in this province deserve better. A $15 minimum wage is a crucial step toward reducing income inequality in Nova Scotia.

We the undersigned call on the Liberal government to vote in support of the NDP’s bill to increase the Minimum Wage in Nova Scotia to $15/hour.
