Burrill: Liberals need to support paramedics

Halifax -- NDP Leader Gary Burrill made the following statement in response to new data released today by IUOE Local 727, the union representing Nova Scotia paramedics:

“The McNeil Liberals are still refusing to acknowledge that health care is in crisis. We have ambulances that are out of service and paramedics working on half-staffed teams, which puts enormous pressure on frontline workers.

Paramedics, nurses, doctors, and other health care workers are doing their best in a bad situation. The McNeil Liberals need to listen to workers and invest in health care to make sure we have enough staff to provide the health care people deserve.”
