Lara Fawthrop, NDP Sackville-Cobequid candidate, opens campaign office

Lower Sackville -- NDP Sackville-Cobequid candidate Lara Fawthrop officially opened her campaign office today at 51 Cobequid Drive, Lower Sackville.

“Today is an exciting day and now the real work begins,” said Fawthrop. “I believe in this community and want to listen and learn more about what people need from their MLA so I can bring those issues to Province House and work on solutions for Sackville-Cobequid.”

Lara is a teacher, parent, and community builder. She taught at Sackville High for 11 years. She has worked with students, parents, and the community to build consensus and accomplish shared goals in Sackville.

“We can’t wait to continue the work of representing Sackville-Cobequid,” said NDP Leader Gary Burrill. “Lara is an excellent choice to be the third chapter in the story of NDP representation in this area. She will do a fantastic job building on the legacy of John Holm and Dave Wilson.”

There were 50 people at today’s campaign launch including dozens of volunteers on hand to get Fawthrop’s message out to the community.
