Burrill brings message against income inequality to Halifax, Pictou counties this week

Halifax, NS – NDP Leader Gary Burrill continues to travel the province speaking about income inequality and the need to take action to eliminate poverty.  Here’s Gary schedule for the week:

On Tuesday, May 10th, Gary will be the guest speaker at the AGM of the Halifax Armdale NDP Association.  7 pm at the Chocolate Lake Recreation Centre.  All welcome.

On Wednesday, May 11th, Gary will meet with student leaders from Students Nova Scotia at 10:30 am.

On Thursday, May 12th, Gary will attend Hunger as an Obstacle to Learning, an event organized by the Public Good Society and the Dartmouth North Community Food Centre.  5 pm at 6 Primrose St.  All welcome.

On Saturday, May 14th, Gary will spend the morning and early afternoon with the Executive of the Nova Scotia NDP.  In the evening, he will head to St Benedict’s Church in Clayton Park, 45 Radcliff Drive, for the SupperNova Potluck dinner at 6:00 pm. All welcome.

On Sunday, May 15th, Gary will be the guest speaker at the Pictou West NDP Association’s AGM.  3 pm at the IOOF Community Room, 143 Norway Point Rd in Pictou. All welcome.

“Everywhere I go around the province, people are embracing the NDP’s message of addressing the income gap between the 1% and the 99%,” says Burrill.  “There is a huge contrast between the NDP’s plan for social investment and the Liberals’ plan for Harper-style austerity.”
