Gary Burrill only leader ready to take on McNeil Liberals

March 7, 2017

For immediate release.

HALIFAX – NDP Leader Gary Burrill is the only leader with a clear plan to make investments that will improve the lives of Nova Scotians.

“Neither Stephen McNeil nor Jamie Baillie is willing to make the investments we need in our health care and education systems,” said Burrill. “The NDP has a plan to invest in health care, ensure that our hospitals are in good repair and cap class sizes for all grades.”

In an interview today, Burrill went head to head with Baillie on key issues including health care, education, and economic development. Like the McNeil Liberals, the Tories do not support making the needed investments in our classrooms and are willing to privatize our hospitals, despite Nova Scotia’s disastrous experience with privately-owned schools.

“We’re at a key moment for our province. We can continue down a road of cuts to the services we rely on, or we can choose a different path that focuses on what we can accomplish together,” said Burrill. “I look forward to continuing to work with people across our province on the concrete actions we can take to make people’s lives better.”
