NSNDP Leader Gary Burrill to host Town Hall in Cape Breton


Gary Burrill will make his first visit to Cape Breton since being elected as Leader of the Nova Scotia NDP, hosting a public town hall on Friday, April 15, at 7 p.m.


What: Public Town Hall with Nova Scotia NDP Leader Gary Burrill

Where: Grand Lake Fire Hall, 850 Grand Lake Road

Date: Friday, April 15, 2016

Time: 7:00 p.m.


The event is free and open to the public.

Light refreshments will be served.


The Town Hall will focus on issues that Gary highlighted in his successful leadership campaign including: income inequality, ending poverty in Nova Scotia, reducing and eliminating tuition fees, and challenging the Liberal cuts to mental health services, and economic development in Cape Breton.


Gary will hold meetings with a number of community organizations and individuals in Sydney, New Waterford, and Glace Bay. He will be available for interviews in Cape Breton throughout his visit from April 14-16. A full schedule will be released closer to the date.
