Video the wrong priority for the Premier in teachers’ talks

For immediate release.

HALIFAX – The Premier’s decision to shoot a video forecasting the breakdown of talks with the Nova Scotia Teachers Union during negotiations confirms the government is not focused on listening to teachers or addressing classroom concerns.

“Once again, the Premier seems more interested in public relations and self-promotion than in listening to the people impacted by his decisions,” said NDP Leader Gary Burrill. “Stephen McNeil and his government have made it clear that they care more about their image than the conditions of our children’s classrooms.”
