By-elections a chance for voters to send Stephen McNeil a message
June 13, 2015
NDP Leader Maureen MacDonald says the three provincial by-elections announced today are a chance for voters to let Stephen McNeil know his Liberal government is on the wrong path. She says the McNeil government is not using its majority in a responsible manner and time and time again has made bad decisions because it didn’t first consult with Nova Scotians.
“Stephen McNeil isn’t the Premier he promised to be and people are looking for a party that will stand up for the things they care about,” says MacDonald. “Unlike the Liberal government, Nova Scotians know they can count on the NDP to stand up for health care, to stand up for our screen industry, to stand up for workers rights and to stand up for not-for-profit organizations that support our most vulnerable.”
