A few hours of your time can help build a better Nova Scotia.
Join Claudia and the Nova Scotia NDP in bringing about the change we know is possible.
Together, we can do this.
Thank you so much for adding your name to our list of volunteers. There are lots of ways you can get involved with the NDP in your community and at the provincial level:
Become a member. If you haven’t already joined the New Democratic Party, it’s easy to do! Just visit www.nsNDP.ca/join, sign up, and begin to enjoy the benefits of membership such as voting rights and participation in Party conventions.
Participate in your local Electoral District Association (EDA). This is the group of people on the ground who hold regular meetings, run campaigns, host our leader and MLAs for events, and much more. Not sure if your area has an EDA, or who to contact? Email us at Outreach@nsNDP.ca and we’ll help get you connected!
Attend an event. Follow us on Facebook @NSNDP and @GaryBurrillNDP to find out about events near you.
Volunteer in our party office. We’re always looking for people to help with a variety of office tasks. If you’re in the Halifax area, let us know if you’re willing to contribute a few hours on a weekly or occasional basis.
Volunteer in an MLA’s office. Our NDP MLAs carry out a variety of community activities that could benefit from an extra set of hands. You can find their contact info at www.nsNDP.ca/team.
Get involved with the Young New Democrats. If you are under 30, consider joining the Nova Scotia Young New Democrats (YND), who organize a number of activities throughout the year. For more info contact Youth@nsNDP.ca, or find the YND online @NSYND.
Questions? Send them our way, and an organizer will be in touch with you. We’ll keep you posted about upcoming opportunities to volunteer with our party. And you can always reach us at 902-423-9217 (local) or 1-800-753-7696 (toll-free).
In solidarity,
Nova Scotia NDP
